Today's Adam Savage Quote

I keep from disappointing Rob, here's a quote from the second half of the interview with Adam Savage (of MythBusters fame) by The Sneeze - Half zine. Half blog. Half not good with fractions. : "Well, I equate the web to like being in rush hour traffic. Everyone is really bold inside their box and they're just giving the finger out the window."

I think that's pretty profound! Applies to e-mail, too.

Speaking of, " ...they're just giving the finger out the window," I do not think that I told you about the incident at the Ellsworth Medical Clinic when Judith was seeing Dr. Poulin. I was sitting in the waiting room, and Dr. Poulin came through escorting a very large man out the double doors and into the parking lot. As soon as Dr. Poulin turned his back to go back into the clinic, the very large man gave Dr. Poulin the finger. I think I am the only one to have witnessed that since I was the only person sitting in a chair facing the windows that look out upon the parking lot.

I think without a doubt that the man has mental problems, as well as being about 300 pounds overweight. As he sat in the waiting room, in a loose-fitting t-shirt and even more loose-fitting shorts, to be called into the doctor's office, he talked incessantly. He said he lived in Stillwater in a place that had no water but he paid no rent. And on and on he went about anything he could think of -- assuming, of course, that he was capable of thinking.

Thanks for your evalutation on the Adam Savage interview...

I still haven't had a chance to read it. I think I need to get one of these Nokia 770 so I can keep up when I am out and about.

As for giving the middle finger, I think you should devote your next podcast on the orgins and share some stories. Maybe even solcit some person stories for next week too.
